The Writer of Banned Books
With my team at Alterkind, my work on the Imagine Documentaries feature film, Judy Blume Forever encompassed a swath of archival materials from family photos, to book covers, to personal letters of correspondence between Judy and her young readers over the years. We created over 160 graphic sequences to help the film explore the way Judy has shaped adolescence and early adulthood for many many readers across the world, alongside personal stories of Judy’s life that sometimes mirrored her writing.
