De La Calle

Latin genres such as reggaeton, trap en español, cumbia, and bachata continue to be among the most popular on the planet. In 2022 MTV Entertainment Studios, Zero Point Zero Production and Paramount+ produced De La Calle, to guide viewers through the Latin diaspora and the sounds that have come from it.

Hosted by Nick Barili, a journalist who founded Hard Knock TV, and directed by Picky Talarico, the 8-episode series travels from New York to Panama, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Argentina on a journey into the Latino diaspora to explore the evolution of Urbano music and cultures that ignited the musical revolution and sounds that are influencing music and culture worldwide.

We built a vibrant suite of graphics to help place these stories geographically and visualize the culture and history of the music. The first two episodes premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival and is now streaming on Paramount+.
